2004 XLR Crimson Pearl/Ebony
Default Caliper Covers

Does anybody make caliper covers for the XLR? I would like to dress up my calipers in a different color.

I don't know of any covers, but you could always get them powdercoated.

Yes, please only powder coat your calipers, the covers really seem hokey. I have seen some in person, on a Corvette and a TBSS and both just seemed tacky. I understand it's harder and costs more money, but the covers are just tacky looking. I think they look better bare and cleaned up than with the covers. That said, you could probably make a Corvette set fit. The preceding is only my opinion and I hope I have not offended anyone.

Cool

Powder coating is best or a quality epoxy caliper paint, the plastic covers up close look very cheap.

Thanks for the help. The reason I asked about the covers a friend sent me some photos of his Pontiac G8 that he installed them on. They looked good on his car.

You should contact Cadillac Tech, he has a set of calipers at the powdercoater and they can color them how you like. Send them to you to do a swap--return yours back for the next person. I believe it's pretty reasonable, and they look great!! You just have to find someone to swap them out for you.

Bruce, I also would like pricing on this. I just got my new rims on and I want my calipers to be blue. I will post pics soon.

Bruce, what would be the turn around time if I sent you my calipers to get powercoated and returned.

I would think around 3 weeks. The best way to do them is to have a set of calipers & brackets powdercoated & then swap out the ones on your XLR. There is little or no down time that way.
