From my experience, I did not have to do any thing to the ECM/PCM when I installed my custom Spectre Performance intake. Unfortunately we are limited to two off the shelf intakes and both are pricey, the Spectre set up is moderately priced. Volant and D3 Research & Design are the only two on the market that I know of. You may be able to modify a Corvette intake, but the Spectre set up looks better in my opinion.
