My XLR/V(s):
05 xlr satin nickel/shale
Default loose axle nuts

after reading about loose rear axle nuts thought i'd check mine(05 35k mi) took 33mm deep socket and by hand could back both sides off!! removed same,cleaned threads w/small wire brush,put on threadlocker and torqued to 118lbs. as a note there was no evidence of threadlocker on axle or nuts? NEW INFO. there is a tsb 07-04-95-001 stating if axle nuts are loose to replace w/new nuts pn10257766,locktite and torque to 140lb/ft. NOTE-the original torque was 160lb/ft and then changed to 140lb/ft. SOOOOO i'll be redoing mine!!

Thanks for posting this.

Hopefully, since I just changed all my wheel bearing, I should be good for another year.
