My guess is the price difference is due to the fact Spectre is not supplying any tuning alterations. A good, safe tune is not cheap.

D3 charges $1000+ for the 2 intakes and another $600+ for the Dtronics module. I think the price difference is more about Spectre knows what D3 charges and they want to undercut them and take over the market. I took a closer look at the D3 intake today and don't see where Spectre can make any significant gains over it, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Your right, I'd forgot what D3 was asking for their setup. I would be curious to see the tubes constructed from carbon fiber, rather than metal. Lighter, stronger, less heat sink and would look very cool !

Any word on a release date? It would be much cleaner without those clamps.

Hello,
We designed our intake to basically have the max amount of flow without completely freaking out the computer. As it is now, the computer is already has a hard time keeping up with the CFM the D3 intake flows.

We have intakes in stock and ready to ship.

Thank you,

Dr. Design
