Woke up this morning in too much pain to drive 4 1/2 hours there. Decided to take several pain killers and go back to sleep. I just woke up.

I lived in Normal, Illinois, which is adjacent to Bloomington, back in 1984. At that time, the Bloomington Gold was still held in Bloomington.
It was very interesting and a lot of fun to attend! I can only imagine what it is like now, 27 years later.
Hope everyone enjoyed the day, and hoping you feel better soon, Gizmo!

Well, one of my favorite cars there still has to be this one: (I found the picture on google, so it wasn't really taken by me.)

Devin and I had a great time at Bloomington Gold today. It was great hooking up with Bruce and Kathy. Always fun to check out all of the interesting things that people do to their 'vettes to make them more unique. Saw a nice collection of '96 Grand Sports, and the Centennial package on the ZR-1 looked very sharp. Weather couldn't have been more perfect!
Thanks again, Bruce and Kathy, for the tickets to get in, that was very nice of you two.

My XLR/V(s): Not yet.1996 Corvette,1996 STS,1994 DeVille Concours | Great Day!! It was a great day @ BG. We saw so many awesome Corvettes, old & new. I got to meet one of my favorite Corvette drivers who raced in the 60's & 70's...very cool. There is so much to see that you need a couple of days. We really enjoyed spending time with Chicago Dave & Devin. Looking forward to next year.
