Spy Photos: 2009 Cadillac XLR-V

DETROIT — Spy photographers caught the moderately camouflaged 2009 Cadillac XLR-V out testing this week, and from the looks of it, the Caddy roadster is getting nothing more than a mild refresh.

The disguised grille indicates a change to the XLR-V's face, and new vertical fender vents have been worked in ahead of the doors.

Official specs have not yet been released, but with such slight cosmetic updates, it's unlikely GM engineers will see fit to drop in a new motor, leaving the 2009 XLR-V hardtop convertible to carry over its 443-horsepower supercharged 4.4-liter V8.

What this means to you: Updated look with carryover power. — Kelly Toepke, News Editor

always the chance they will stuff in that LS7 vette engine, It is in the other side of the same factory.
Plus the ZR1 gets a supercharger for 09 thats another certified engine that could be used.

Well probably not :
I have thought they should borrow that power hard top for the Corvette conv instead of that power or manual soft top,
and that has not happened either.

I hear ya. I doubt they'll stuff the LS7 in there.
