This was a really fun day ... we went to the 'swap meet' (aka flea market) ... while we were checking out the different vendors we could hear a really familiar and DISTINCT voice .... all he said was "yeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!" .....
Dave Hesler was working as hard as his crew selling his used items .... he had 4 haulers full of 'stuff' ..... all of the licnse plates said YUUUP ..... he was very personable too ... We are hooked on 'Storage Wars' and 'Pickers' ....

This one is almost identical to mine except for the interior color (I had beige instead of black). Otherwise same in everyway.....

My XLR/V(s): Not yet.1996 Corvette,1996 STS,1994 DeVille Concours | Fun lunch We drove up to Lafayette, IN yesterday to have lunch with Cubby & Supa, Marc & Kris, & Photo Mom. It was GREAT spending the afternoon with such GOOD friends. Marc picked up his monster order of Girl Scout cookies from Supa...he probably ate a couple of boxes on the drive home.

Had hoped to take the V out for a one year of ownership spin today, but find myself down with a darn cold! Just shy of 10k miles in this first year...just can't seem to stay out of her for long ; ). Nothing quite like these cars!

I wanted to take mine out today, but find myself down with THE darn cold . . . and rain, and sleet, and maybe some snow.
Oh well, got to run her a bunch yesterday before the mess moved in.
Hope you feel better!

Headed for Bondaurant in Phoenix next week. 505 hp Corvette Z06 6 speed manual for two days. I know my neck will be sore from those 1G turns for a while after that!

We just got back home yesterday. Had a great time. I am sure glad we went this time of year, temps were in the 60's during the day. It would be brutal out there on the tarmac in the summer. | |

Yep, that's them - awesome drivers aren't they .... did they show off for you and give you a free donut-show??
We were in AZ too this past week ... on the Colorado River at Laughlin -- you're right, the weather was G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S ..... and it does get really hot there in the summer .... but, like they say ... it's a dry heat - really is much easier to bear than high temps with humidity. I love AZ .... if we ever HAD to move from San Diego, I would choose Scottsdale ...
Nice pictures ... thanks for posting them .... I took a short film of them lapping with the Shelby's ....
