Lube for sticking Gas Door Latch Pin

I believe that someone on the site, (about 1 week ago), recomended a product called "Syl Glide." is that the correct name of the product??? They said it would not hold dust or dirt. I shot Silicone in there the last time it stuck, (about 6 months or so ago) but a week ago it stuck again, and after a drive, "out it came! "Crazy!!
 
FWIW - Most silicone sprays use acetone as a solvent to make the silicone spray more evenly... You can see it in the MSDS sheet for the spray.

unfortunately, this weakens and softens plastic thus causing it to distort or stick to each other. I've stopped using silicone spray on all plastics as a result.
