I am not a tech, but I believe the wipers are supposed to run at varying speeds. I was told that there is a sensor that can tell how much water is on the windshield and automatically adjusts the wiper rate to accomodate increasing or decreasing amounts of rain.

I was changing the pads and rotors on my XLR the other day and noticed unusual tire wear on the front tires. The inside edges of the tires were almost completely worn and the outside still had a usable amount of tread left. Is this something that is normal with an XLR or is there an alignment...

I believe the suspension is fully adjustable all the way around. Maybe your 2005 was adjusted down a bit, or the suspension was just a bit more worn out. You could adjust the rear of the '08 down to where you like it.
