    Rough Idle

That would be my guess too ... I've had a coil go bad and that is exactly how the car ran.

Hawkeye, You must have missed my earlier post.

    Adaptive Cruise Control

Jack - I have my windrestrictor hooked up to my brakes (gets brighter when brakes applied) and the windrestrictor definitely lights up when the ACC slows down ... but my guess is that because the foot pedal is not depressed, the ACC is not deactivated (I don't think the ACC is tied to the brake...

    Adaptive Cruise Control

Maybe you should have your ACC checked out by a dealer ... I rarely find the ACC indicate an object when I go on curves on the interstate ... if the turn were tight enough, yes, it would show the car in the other lane (but then those are usually too tight of turns to have the ACC activated...

    2004 Silver Cadillac XLR

Just because the car does not have the antenna on the trunk, does not necessarily mean the car does not have the XM module installed. My '05 does not have the antenna mounted on the trunk, but upon receipt of the Window Sticker, I saw that it did have the XM option. It appears that many owners...

    Options Not Available

ECurtis, When I bought my XLR, the #1 Fob was lost and I picked one up off of eBay. Programing was not a problem, but it went to #3. I then upgraded my fobs to the newer, thinner '09 fobs - but the car only holds 4 fobs in the programming. My new fobs would not work with the memory settings...

2013 XLR Bowling Green Plant Homecoming - Sept 28th, 2013

I can't believe you are going to be missing this event, Hawkeye - I think this will be one of the biggest XLR event that many of us will be able to attend. Just think, almost 30 XLR's right back in Bowling Green - at the very plant where they were built. I can't wait for this show to take...

2013 XLR Bowling Green Plant Homecoming - Sept 28th, 2013

I would have liked to do this - but I won't get in until LATE Friday night - they won't be able to do anything early Saturday morning, will they? I guess I will be getting up early Saturday morning looking for one of the local car washes. Thanks for the idea, Bruce - hope others take...

    Gas Gauge Error

This past weekend, after washing my XLR, I started it, put the top down, then, as I was backing out of my driveway, it stalled. After several attempts to restart, I let it sit for a few hours. Trying it again, I decided to throw in a half can of gas from my mower gas can (thinking it may be...

    Minor fob problem

You can deactivate the day/night feature of the mirror just by hitting the button on the rearview mirror (I believe it is the circle/line button). That should keep it at it's brightest - at least helps during the daytime and dusk periods. So glad to hear you out and about, Rod - keep up the...

    Is This The New XLR?

VERY interesting write up. I find it interesting that this was all written up last year (2012). I like how they talk about the ATS should be the BTS - so they can come out with something smaller (and call THAT one an ATS). Some gorgeous rederings, though. :rocker:
