    2009 fender vents

Interesting, I saw one the other day and the owner swore it was an '09, and it didn't have the vents. I thought he was mistaken. Bruce

    electrical gremlins, the whole family...

Just an update, I'm still an XLR owner, but I'm still waiting on parts. It's expensive driveway art at this point. Oh well, I'll enjoy it more when I finally get the parts. Bruce

    help, keyfob not working

Both fobs going at once seems odd, did they test them? They have a device that verifies fobs are transmitting. Where in So Cal are you? Bruce

    Ebay find...

I did a lot of carbon fiber WTP in my Corvette and it looks amazing. I think it would be beautiful on the engine cover, I just haven't done it yet. That XLR watch looks cool too. Starting at .99 I don't trust the quality though. Bruce

    Project Drainbuster

Good idea, certainly less expensive than repairing damage. Just a reminder, you won't necessarily see water in the trunk to have water in this area. Bruce

    Daily Chat

School at Bondurant is the best money anyone can spend. While I was taking their 3 day school they must have sneaked into my garage and rebuilt my Corvette, it drove so much better after I took school than before, and I know it couldn't be the driver. :) A few years later my son and I also took...

Agreed, I used LA wheel also, right around the corner from my house. Realize that price is exchange though. Bruce

    Anybody have experience with 'chips'?

My understanding is you do not "chip" these cars, the computer needs to be re-programmed. D3 is a vendor and one of the best known for our cars. Bruce

    electrical gremlins, the whole family...

There is actually a company not far from me advertising rebuilt units for $750.00. No chance to check the fuse last night. Bruce

    electrical gremlins, the whole family...

Holy smokes! The pump makes the modules look cheap! I'm praying towards Bowling Green now that the fuse did its job. (Retail about $1500.00) For now I don't know it needs one, I was just checking pricing. Bruce

Thanks, hadn't dug out the schematics or looked there again since we figured out the first set of problems. A fuse would be great! Bruce

    electrical gremlins, the whole family...

No idea. When I wash the car the trunk stays bone dry. The trunk carpet shows no signs of ever getting wet. Does the water management system drain into that recess? The car is normally such a garage queen anyhow, but between Christmas and New Years we flew to Newy York. I didn't have time to...

    electrical gremlins, the whole family...

I didn't get to it this weekend. Hopefully I get some time this week to look at it. Yes, the pump block was submerged, the entire "bucket" was full at one time. Bruce

The latch releases the lid, but it does not lift. Harness connectors were cleaned, well dried. I guess I have more trouble shooting to do... Bruce

    electrical gremlins, the whole family...

Thanks, that's good news. I'll double check all the fuses. I ran out of time last night. Bruce

    electrical gremlins, the whole family...

Okay, this entire education is costing a lot of money... Since the XLR had to sit out and managed to collect water where the computers are I had to revise parking. This week I'm raising my carport and the 4 post lift should be here by the end of the month. That will let me get everything back...

Help! Looking for someone with the knowledge!

A supporting vendor, Los Angeles Wheel is down here in the Valley. They may have several options for you. L.A. Wheel and Tire 18x8 & 19x8.5 choices, plus Corvette options if that's your direction. I personally like the 15 spoke optional rim. Bruce

On the hoist out in the shop for surgery

Glad you got it fixed, and nice write up, thanks for taking the time to document. Sorry I didn't have any more help about ride height. Bruce
