    XLR-V Front Tire Size Change

larger tires No I don't, but they were one size wider than the stock rears on my V. Drove from So. Cal. to San Antonio and back and could here it hitting every so often, by the time I got back the tire had cut into the inner liner in the rear. Had a nice look with those wide tires. :bash:

    XLR-V Front Tire Size Change

Dunlops I have another brand, Dunlop sticky tires. They make a tire that is very soft and will not lay rubber all over the road at a light when you mash it. It just sits and goes like a rocket. They wear very well considering the grab effect in summer, but I find they get hard after 3 years and...

    Adaptive Cruise Control

CCC Yes it does, CCClarke might think it is hijacking but the thread was started about adaptive cruise control, as far as I'm concerned your in the ballpark. Standby:dunno:

    2004 Silver Cadillac XLR

I try not to answer or make a remark unless I'm sure of what I'm talking about first hand so I can't answer your first question but in answer to your second, your quite right, the 06 had it installed in the mirror housing, getting rid of that terrible wart on the trunk from the beginning of the...

    2004 Silver Cadillac XLR

Dave, My 04 radio had XM installed when I bought it from the dealer and it had "The wart", named by someone on this site about 8 years ago, already on the rear deck. The radio went bad under warranty and they put a new radio in it but my XM button was greyed out, nor would it work, went back to...

    2004 Silver Cadillac XLR

You can make changes to your post As pointed out by other members, your car is awesome, but it is not silver it's platinum, it has no XM radio package which was the only option and everything else is stock, not options. KBB has the 04 at a ridicules $16,000 and their are people out there that...

    Help! starting this project

Wishes Ah yes, if wishes where horses, beggar's could ride, some folks would be happy to just have one of these cars, I feel very fortunate to own the first (Ichiban) V into California in 2006, No just fortunate to have one. I don't understand why you did all those upgrades when you could...

    Help! starting this project

Fiber my b*^$# I'm probably gonna say something that will be very unpopular here, by saying that these cars come apart cosmetically because that fiber is so thin, I've been there and done it and I'm in wonder when I see one of these gorgeous cars just come apart. It's not always pilot error...

Site Update: T/C going off for no reason (found one reason)

Right, that's what happens when you cut the red wire, I didn't give thought to the vacuum that the engine is probably loosing air and throwing the T/C on. I have mentioned this before that if your a two footed driver which comes from either NASCAR OR DRAG RACING, and your in on both at the same...

Site Update: T/C going off for no reason (found one reason)

Exhaust module This sounds reasonable to me and that just might be my problem. The only time I use it now is when cruising in parking lots for the rumble in the jungle noise. Good job:wave:

    Help! starting this project

I have a theory Rocky, Sounds to me like the XLR of yours had a rear tire blow out, watch (NASCAR when a tire blows out) and the rest took place after that. Thanks for your service my friend. I have a history of screwing up my front end and because my front end sits lower, I don't match up with...

    butterfly valve

Rocky, Boy are you in for a real treat when you find out all the things this car is capable of doing. Just for starters, there is a rocker switch by your right leg on the console. When you start the car watch your DIC and press once and the T/C light will come on warning you that you are now...

    butterfly valve

Intermittently for probably the last four years, and has gotten worse the last year. I used to just stop at a light and shut it off and the light would go out. The red wire is just the hot wire, if you cut it while running you will here it go to wild. I would suggest the M2W because it's cleaner...

    butterfly valve

I guess I got the lemon. Everything is valuable on here and not everything relates to the same end game. That said,Yea, I used to do that too, but I think the open exhaust is triggering the T/C. My T/C light was coming on and I turned the wild off to listen to someone that came up to the car...
