Yikes...I hope mine don't make the MAN too unhappy...cause I don't intend on changing them back until told to do so. The original bulbs were blown anyway, so blue is better than none...right?
I changed my tag light bulbs to blue bulbs today and upon removing the rear cover to access the bulb sockets, I find wires hot-glued under the cover. Anybody have any clue what these are for? They plug into modules located in the trunk lid.
Nice to know! I didn't know they were the same. I did some more detailing today and added LED lights under the hood wired into the existing under-hood wiring. I wish I could get a good night picture, they REALLY make the engine cover look good at night.
Here is an updated pic with more...
I definitely like the underwater glow around nicer yachts and am planning to install blue LED underglow on my XLR. I have already replaced some of the interior bulbs with blue, have gotten blue bulbs for the tag lights, and want to order blue foglight bulbs.
Yup..that would explain why it has the same part number as the V and why my XLR did not have oil cooler connections to utilize the extra cooler in this unit. Thank you for the details on that....now I have confirmation I have the right replacement unit in her now. I think I will look into...
Just got my engine cover back from the shop today...and I LOVE it!
I've got to detail the rest of everything under the hood then decide what else to paint and trim out.
I went back in the thread looking for the pics I posted of the ones I have in mine, and they seem to be corrupted so I am reposting here:

On quick glance through the shop manual diagnostic procedures for both of those, (6-846 and 6-872) start with looking for broken, cracked, or loose vacuum hoses or intake. Quickest way to check for a vacuum leak is a can of starting fluid (with a straw tube on the sprayer) and lightly spray...
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your longtime genius mechanic is screwing you badly and not even offering lube. Please look at the invoice below for an OEM GM radiator I picked up this morning at the dealership for my XLR. Notice the LIST price is less than half what you are being...
Just incase anyone is interested in knowing, the XLR factory radiator has 2 additional coolers built into it....transmission cooler and oil cooler. The aftermarket units only have the trans cooler built into the radiator. The factory unit is $278 vs the $109 for an aftermarket, but my local...
Siri uses the Pioneer mic and really sounds good on the other end. The 95-8202 looks promising and this image looks more like the one I used, but can't find a model.
I don't have the model :( I have a slight advantage of being able to go back into the distribution warehouse and look at all of them until I find something that looks like it will work for what I need. I only used two parts out of this kit....the filler panels to each side which bolted...
I also used a thin HDMI cable with hinged ends making it easier to install behind the radio and in the console. I am quite curious to see how it all goes for you. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or need pics.
