    AppRadio 4

Ok, still out of town (took GF to see Cats in Atl tonight), but I can answer a few more questions via phone keyboard. 1. Using the correct modules from Scoshe or PAC you retain steering wheel controls, factory Bose speakers and amp. This car already had PAC modules integrated but I bought...

    AppRadio 4

I am out of town this weekend, but will try to answer the questions that I can from memory. I will list all the part numbers of the modules when I get back home. First off, I will have to say I have learned a few more things about the AppRadio since I've been using it over the past few days...

    AppRadio 4

Some of you commented on my introductory post where I stated I intended to install an aftermarket stereo. I am happy to report I have completed the AppRadio 4 install and it looks good, but more importantly sounds incredible. It is full touchscreen with Apple CarPlay. I can easily place and...

Newbie rebuilding a Xenon Blue '05

As I mentioned previously, someone previously changed the head unit out on this XLR prior to me getting it. I was able to drive her this evening, and everything functions perfectly including the active cruise control. I will be replacing the current headunit with an AppRadio 4. I will let you...

Dash vent duct actuators - HVAC question

Thanks all for the advice and information. I have a leak somewhere in my system, but I added some freon this evening, and after cycling the controls from hot to cold on both sides and driving her for a while, it seems to be equally cold on both sides now. I am assuming something was either...

YEAH HA!!!!! I picked my new baby up from the shop this evening...and wow...wow...WOW! I am in LOVE. She drives amazing with plenty of power and a decent enough ride. I will take some pics in the light tomorrow and post them. I still have to replace the airbags and do a couple trim pieces...

I can see the ear to ear grin through the words...and apparently it was totally worth it. I will try to learn from your example and do my best to stay outa trouble with the police once I get mine finished.

    Rough ride

Nice. I didn't have the history on the C5, so it might very possibly been previously lowered. The C7 is a gorgeous work of art..in my opinion.

Dash vent duct actuators - HVAC question

I have searched through the forum, but I am not able to locate the answer to my question, so I thought I would ask you experts. Yesterday the guys finished re-installing the radiator and a new condenser, so I was able to crank her and get her up to operating temps and check everything out. The...

    knowledge on this XLR

Having owned a couple performance shops and a custom body shop I agree with Zen and XLRating for the most part. Definately want to look at the small details like road rash on the wheels and damage to small trim areas in the interior. Those items show the previous owner (PO) was not careful...

Newbie rebuilding a Xenon Blue '05

Yes, totally lucky you...however, if I had an XLR-V it would definitely have more than 9k miles on it. If I enjoy this XLR as much as I am expecting, I will start looking for an XLR-V to build or find an XLR with mechanical damage (read: bad engine) and figure out the details of an LS3 swap...

    Rough ride

Having not driven my XLR yet, I am seriously hoping for a better ride than my Corvette. I could tell if a penny was laying heads or tails when I ran over it in my C5. Knowing these have the same type magnetic suspension as my previous STS, I have high expectations.

David, only the left (drivers) headlight was damaged and I was able to locate a used one. AzGeo, I am now taking my time looking at my various options on the wheels, and OEWHEELS is one of the places that has the chrome Z06 wheels. I realized too late a little more research prior to ordering...

New build pics.... She is coming along. Parts should be in the paint booth tomorrow. The guys were test fitting the hood and adjusting the new hinges so everything lined up correctly. Still some work to do on finishing the top the hood, but that was supposed to be wrapped up this afternoon...

Update on the build...I finally located a factory new Cashmere dash to replace mine with the blown passenger side airbag. It shipped today so should be here next week so I can finish her up
