    Top problem

I don't know if the header actuator is hydraulic or electric? But if your top goes up and down your pump is working. I wonder if the actuator is hydraulic and those are the two hydraulic lines they replaced with the actuator. Two things one if it's hydraulic I would think they need to purge the...

    XLR-V Thermostat

It does sound like that happened. Need to run with the cap off. Let the thermostat open once or twice to cycle the fluid through. Keep a eye on the levels. The car will reset after so many miles and no problems persist.

Question about pausing the hard top open/close process

You can open the top part way. The manual does state to finish the cycle in the direction you were previously going. Now does it mess it up? You would be redirecting all the linkage and it is hydraulic so their is some torque involved:dunno: I would finish the cycle unless it starts pouring out...

05 XLR battery went dead now car is crazy...

I would think that if you powered the car down, pressed on the brake and shifted into neutral it would go in. Might have to be in accessory mode:dunno: The car needs to read the fob have someone in the seat and on the brake to move the shifter.

    Help! Transmission situation.

Thanks for the pic helpful. Now on the trans lever is there a round stud that the clip attaches too,or is there a ball stud ? Maybe ill jack mine up and see for myself. Then I can see the condition of mine. Just from the pictures looks like the white bushing probably dry rotted, cracked causing...

    Help! Transmission situation.

I haven't had the problem to know the set-up. Is it a female threaded on one end ball clip on the other? So the trans arm has a ball stud on it? If so I know many ways to convert to a metal clip. Would just need the thread size on the cable and ball diameter on the trans lever. Probably gets...

05 XLR battery went dead now car is crazy...

The shifter won't move because its locked its not getting the brake signal. And your car isn't starting because its not reading someone in the seat and depressing the brake required to start. I would think your not getting the green light on the start button because of this. Now is the problem...

05 XLR battery went dead now car is crazy...

I still have two questions when you sit in the seat do you hear a buzzing noise? Theres a "seat switch" that activates. Two when you hit the brake do you get a clicking noise in the dash area? These both have to be activated to start. Especially a brake to shift out of gears. I also agree that I...

05 XLR battery went dead now car is crazy...

Just wanted to make sure it wasn't you need a GOOD battery. Bench voltage and load voltages are good indicators of battery condition. Yes I've had my fob in the left pocket and its said "no fob detected" so I changed pockets. When you sit in the seat do you get a noise in the dash area and do...

    Help! Tai Light Issue

That's the big problem I have with led bulbs. Yes their nice, compact etc. they say they last forever yeah right. Now instead of buying a three dollar bulb to fix the problem. You have to spend probably 500 for a new assembly. How is that better? I see led brake lights out all the time and...

05 XLR battery went dead now car is crazy...

I personally would return that new battery if it has already discharged once. Discharging a battery takes away life from the battery. After a full charge it should be load tested to see if it still holds power. You can charge a battery and it show 12 volts but when a load is put on it the...

Help! 2005 XLR Transmission fluid leak Please Help.

For the trans fill they say check at operating temp. Start the car cycle through the gears and place in park. Check level should be at fill hole level. The trans vent is on top of the trans. It's towards the front on top though where the converter housing bolts to front of trans. There's two...

Help! 2005 XLR Transmission fluid leak Please Help.

I can look later when by service manuals. I do know that the trans fluid should be checked after cycling through the gears. I believe it's suppose to be in gear when checking too. There is just the one fill location and as soon as it starts spilling out the fill hole it's full. Get back to you...

Help! 2005 XLR Transmission fluid leak Please Help.

So is the pan gasket still leaking? You have to fix the obvious first to narrow down where its coming from. I'm always suspect as to what was previously touch first, then proceed. :dunno: There is the input shaft seal upfront. Vent tube would likely be on top somewhere. Let us know haven't heard...

    2005 XLR Head Gasket

From what I know you do have to separate the body from the chassis. You might have room to remove the heads. But from my understanding with the head gasket problem is the head bolts pull the thread out of the block. The best fix I've seen is studding the head bolts. With studding the block you...

IS A XLR A GOOD RELIABLE USED CAR 2007 98000KM

I would just check all functions of the car. Also the condition of everything seats, carpet, dented trim panels, tires, brakes, paint, everything. Check the headlights for crazing. They say it was fixed in previous years but check them they should be clear. Check the trunk for signs of leaking. Run...

IS A XLR A GOOD RELIABLE USED CAR 2007 98000KM

You can buy whatever brand you prefer car brand spanking new and it be a lemon. Buying a older car should get you away from lemons it's how the previous however many owners it had treated it! There's only three problems I see with owning a xlr maybe four for you. 1 specific to the xlr parts...
