Inner hub diameter is definately different, now that I think of it lug diameter is larger on the V wheel.
Have only seen a non tapered lug on maybe two machines in my life and they were off road type vehicles. Arnt all lugs tapered. Well then that means all rims are lug centric? I don't know...
As for the wheels pretty much all the gm wheels have the same bolt pattern. What I had found to be different was the inner HUB diameter. I had upgraded from the stock 17" 7 spoke to the v wheel which is a 19". Didn't have any problems with mounting or fender clearances. I believe the hub...
Like stated before the block design is nearly the same except the cylinder size. Yes theirs more meat around the a Cylinder walls. Don't know about the lower intake angles might be different so matting the supercharger to the block might need some work. The best option I found besides buying a v...
I can see having 565 flywheel horsepower. 565 rwhp will take a lot of work. Full exhaust, intake porting, supercharger porting or upgrade, under drive pulleys, etc. Maybe some headwork also.
What kind of effect did you do to the picture? Looks awesome. I have a xenon blue and love how it looks in your picture! Very cool:thumbsup
As for outrunning the rain. Rain drops vertical it's still dropping ten feet infront of you even if you go faster. Would hate to see what it does to the...
I remember watching a mythbuster episode where they tested that theory, and if you got wetter running or walking in the rain. Surprisingly you got wetter running and you would still get wet with the top down. I forgot what speed they were testing at?
I purchased two piece rotors a couple months back from a place called KNS brakes. Great people to deal with. Cheapest price I could find on quality rotors. All said and done cost alittle over 500 front and rear with ceramic pads. Work great and look great too. I have a thread on it under brake...
I love that the dealer says yah all of are mechanics are certified. "Would hope so but XLR CERTIFIED?" Problem is these cars are getting older and the mechanics that got specifically trained on them might have moved on or no longer work there. Something like the top controls are specific to the...
I've seen on corvettes they get really strange wear on the front tires after some mileage. I think it has to do alittle with the geometry of the front suspension. Usually you will just get alittle saw tooth on the treads. But I've seen the inside wear far more than the rest almost putting a bald...
Sorry to hear. My 2 cents, if you first made your offer through ebay than the dealer went outside ebay for the transaction. I would report them to ebay and give them a detailed report of the misrepresentation of the vehicle. You paid good money for a car trusting the word of a greasy salesman...
I wonder if there are two fuses one for each side. If so looks like the only way to guarantee is pull the passenger airbag fuse ? That's not knowing what part of the system you'll interrupt either front, sides ? They should of stuck with the earlier design IMO always trying to make stuff so...
From the sounds of it they must have changed it in later years. In my glove box far right side there is a airbag disengage key slot. It's the same style key slot on the dash of a lot of cars and trucks Ive been in. I used my emergency key and disarmed it. Between the top button and traction...
I would never recommend tampering with a airbag system. Adding switches to the system that just asking for trouble for you or anyone in the car. They can be set off very easily. And I don't think anyone wants a nitrogen bomb going off in their face unless it's gonna save them in a collision. My...
Yes their is a way to disable the passenger airbag. Open your glovebox far right side there is a spot to put a key in and disengage the airbag. Once done the airbag light on the center counsel will light up. I have disengaged because I have a two year old boy that I take out for cruises every...
