    Mild to Wild

There is a toggle command using the Tech2 to open and close it. The small four-pin connector on the exhaust control module goes to the solenoid and can be unplugged to experiment. The tan/white wire is the one you want.

    Mild to Wild

I’ll look at the diagram tomorrow, I know that the wiring changed along the way. I built my own (2008 V) and it just interrupts the wire from the exhaust control module to the vacuum solenoid. You should hear the difference when you hit 3500 rpm. There is probably a Tech2 command to toggle it to...

Or just unplug the exhaust control module in the well near the hydraulic pump

    Under-hood bumper wanted

Does anyone know where to get a replacement for this bumper? It is a generic part that I can't find a GM part number for. I need the "real thing", mine work, but I show the car and want to replace an out-of-round one or two. Thanks in advance for any help!

    Chrome hood molding

No, but given how hard they are to get, I am going to hold onto it just in case I need it in the future.

Actually, I was able to get one of the very last ones available from the dealer. Definitely lucky

Cadillac XLR Cutaway to appear at the 2024 Allante XLR Invitational Owners Meet

It is a pre-production V cutaway teaser for auto shows. Shocks are wrong, etc but it is mostly meant to create intrigue. The LC3 came out of the STS-V, so I guess the “correct” engine shield is more surprising than much of the rest.

    Well hell, no A/C!

Couldn't happen on a hotter day and naturally, after sitting at a hot car show for five hours. The AC is only blowing hot air. So far, I have observed: Compressor is running when A/C is on. No bad under-hood noises No DTCs on Tech2 High-side pressure = 185 psi (per Tech2) All doors and...

    Chrome hood molding

No, sorry. I decided to go with the 2009 part that was still available at the dealership. It was very (very) subtly different, but once installed, looks perfect.

    accessary

I recommend digging into the console. I tapped into the cigarette lighter inside the arm rest and ran the wire back into the left well in the trunk. I don't recommend trusting the combination video / power wire that comes with the camera to last very long running power from the front to the back...

    Wanted OEM V rims

I'm pretty sure the ten-spoke wheels in chrome were a one-year option for 2008 Vs.

I chose these and they were perfect without extra printing on them. https://a.co/d/4e3OV89

I believe the V shocks are different. Pretty sure, in fact.

Replaced Radio/Navigation unit in my 2009

If I already replied, I’m sorry but I’m sitting in a bar waiting for my food and didn’t do my due diligence to read all three pages of comments. I installed a license plate cam and it works wonderfully. Starting at the center cluster, I ran the wires right down the center under the console. I...
