    Driver seat cover replacement

I did it and it sucks. Pay good attention and take pictures as you uninstall each step of the old one. You need an electric stapler or you’ll never get the new one stapled to the plastic part on the backside. The foam is almost certainly compressed and the new one may be wrinkled. I replaced my...

I assume both sides are the same?

WTB: Driver Door Courtesy Lamp Lense

That’s close to what I was thinking. I’ve designed and printed much more difficult parts, including clear, and I enjoy the challenge of figuring it out, so I can think of wasted hours as solving a puzzle as long as I don’t have a paying project to do. That, and I may become my own customer some day.

    WTB door courtesy lamp lens

Want To Beg (Ha!) Got a new 3D printer and I have the skills & resources to design the parts in CAD. I'm going to work on reproducing the un-obtainable courtesy lamp lens with a slightly-less brittle plastic, but I'm looking for a donated broken part to measure and model. I'm not going to take...

WTB: Driver Door Courtesy Lamp Lense

I'm actually thinking of taking this on, but I need a broken one to measure to make a 3d model of it. I'm not taking a chance of breaking mine taking it out.

    Cheap china mag shocks

I've been waiting for someone to try as well. I happened across the manufacturer a month or three ago, but they were not listing XLRs at that time and had no US distribution. Just having them available is encouraging.

    navigate

Sounds like a problem with the gps receiver. It has a socket on the back of the radio for the GPS antenna. Maybe someone had the radio out for some reason and forgot to plug it back in.

    Chrome hood molding

Looking for an excellent hood chrome molding for a V. Mine has a small ding, and I’m working towards a concours entry, so I’m sweating the details. I’d also be willing to trade plus some money, so you can capitalize on your nicer part if your not as anal as I need to be, but you’ll still have a...

    Picky, picky, picky

Does anyone know definitively what valve caps came on the V with chrome wheels?

    HUD for updated radio

It won't happen. The problem is that there isn't any way to access the information (Channel, song, etc.) from an aftermarket radio. I reverse engineered how to talk to the HUD, but I don't have anything to send it. I looked into the iDatalink port as a possible interface, but the only...

    Wanted Seatbelt trim piece

    1. Power operate the folding top system to the fully down and stored position. 2. Position the roof bar tube trim up by grasping the outer trim material and moving up while twisting the trim back and forth. 3. Remove the retaining bolt foam plugs from the roof bar tube. 4. Remove the...

    CD changer replacement

It is a Sony XAV-AX7000. I machined the new faceplate and buttons and built circuits to tie into its stock buttons plus IR functions and interact with the Bose amp. It took about three years off and on, but it is totally a one-off. I know it was off-topic, but when you said why can’t someone...

    Incomplete printed manuals

Send me a picture and I can probably give you the answers as to what they are and where to find them. The manuals aren't going to give component details on that level because the assembly is replaced as a unit, not meant to be repaired by the service tech, That said, there are industry standards...
