I’m looking at the pulley and I don’t see an area that has / had a spline. Is part of the hub / pulley assembly still on my pump? You mentioned a special tool, but I can’t see where it would attach.

Good-ish news. The bolt holding the p/s pump pulley wasn’t even finger tight. I wasn’t able to thread it out around the hoses, but I knew that the interface can be a failure point, so I wanted to see it. Mickeytee, what should I be looking for here? It doesn’t look spun to me, maybe just loose...

I replaced my Mercedes AMG SLK with the XLR. The Merc would not fit a driver (club) if you had the XM option because the module was at the left end of the trunk. The dealer actually pointed that out, so I agree that it is a known benchmark! :)

I honestly don't know why, but I read once that a smaller snout pulley was more prone to slipping and could require machining clearance on the SC itself. That makes an argument for changing a pulley that is a simple swap. You're way-more of an expert than I am, but that is a line I've heard before.

I may be. Is this about a 3 psi boost increase?

That sound like a terrific price if you find the right person. Is it a D3-produced model, or built using D3 components? (I'm not in the market, just curious.)
