    Help! XLR-V Engine cover wanted

Remember me? I tried to buy your car, but someone got it as I was on the way to the dealership with my checkbook! Maybe we could meet somewhere between? I’m in Niles MI. It was your car that sent me down this obsession!

    Help! XLR-V Engine cover wanted

I’m looking for an excellent condition engine dress up cover. They are still available new, but I’m looking for a deal as this is for an experiment that may fail.

    LC3 rabbit hole

Thanks for the great reply. That makes complete sense. It also helps me stay grounded, I want to do some upgrades, but they are hard to acquire and if the exhaust manifold is the (literal) limiting factor, "more air in" has a very limited potential if air can't get back out.

    LC3 rabbit hole

So, I’m down the rabbit hole on this. My buddy has an ‘06 STS-V with the same engine as my V, but…. It’s rated for more horsepower. Has anyone sorted out the story? Was it a marketing thing? Component differences? Yesterday, I spoke with a Northstar engineer, but he’d left GM before the LC3...

Help! Retained Accessory Power (RAP) in trunk

Perhaps, but that could interact with the system that detects non-working “bulbs.”

Help! Retained Accessory Power (RAP) in trunk

Your'e right, of course, but I am trying to avoid taking it apart more than I need to, knowing that scratching or denting something means I'll just have to live with it. I'm going to grab power off the cigar lighter in the console.

Help! Retained Accessory Power (RAP) in trunk

Well, I got my answer. There isn't anything back there. The courtesy lamps are fed from the BCM. For now, I'll add a switch for use during storage, eventually running a wire back when I have things apart anyway for the backup camera.

Help! Retained Accessory Power (RAP) in trunk

I've been scouring the wiring diagrams, but decided that while I continue to look, I'd ask y'all too. I'm looking for a Retained Accessory Power (RAP) wire available in the trunk, hopefully near the driver's side rear. That's the one that goes off 20 minutes after the ignition is turned off. I...

    Help! Factory Stereo no sound

Gap doesn’t work because the steering wheel buttons originally connected to the cd changer and it broadcasts messages to the rest of the system(s) as needed. Same for heated steering wheel and cruise cancel.

    Light Bezel

is yours missing, or just broken? I replaced my bulb with LED in hope it would last forever, then glued my broken part in place.

Seven figures start at a million dollars, so I’m going to guess no.

    Help! Factory Stereo no sound

Okay, I'm back where my info is... You need to jumper some connections on the 20-pin CD changer connector C2. I re-appropriated the attached image from another, really useful thread. Fortunately, testing it is free. If you don't like giving up the features, but the jumpers make it work, then...

    Help! Factory Stereo no sound

You (probably) fried the cd changer, not the radio. All the audio signals pass through the cd changer that acts as the source selector. Your steering wheel buttons probably don’t work either because they manipulate the cd changer. You may be able to jumper across some pins on the changer cable...

    The end-all DRL modification

So you’re averaging the voltage over a longer period... interesting. I’ll look at that. Without thinking too hard, it seems like that may have some hysteresis issues at the beginning or end of a flash sequence given the duty cycle. I don’t see what that has to do with the resistor, though. The...
