    Help! Missing service manual pdf

Thanks for the quick reply. My manual was from another vendor, so I figured "for $19, I'll take a chance that this one is complete." Nope. Same exact thing missing the same sections of the manual. Oh well, I gambled and lost but I still appreciate the tip! Bob

    Help! Missing service manual pdf

Hi y'all, I have the electronic version of the service manual, but one pdf I'm missing is one I need. Does anyone have the Computer/Integrating section? Any help is appreciated. If there are different versions, I have an '08, but I suspect they are probably all very similar if not identical...

Did you ever receive and test these bulbs?

    Help! Running lights

This may not really add any value to the conversation, but the DRLs (at least in the US) don't come on until the car is in gear and if the automatic headlights have not activated. I mention this because perhaps you need to demonstrate that during an inspection(?)

And no DIC error? Huh. I’m curious what LED.

I don’t disagree with any of that, but I am positive that the way our DRLs work is a continuous +12V on the blue wire with respect to the black wires, and the turn signal is a pulsed +12V on the same two wires. It isn’t obvious, but the socket has two ground wires that are connected together...

    The end-all DRL modification

I got into a conversation in another post about how I wanted my DRLs to work and decided I should post some pictures to clarify why I needed the additional circuitry. With the headlights and DRL off, the turn signals are amber. Just like factory (but cool LED bulbs.) In gear, the DRL come on...

DRL wiring and swtichback bulbs I think you're mistaken. There are only three wires on the socket. Two ground (black) and the brighter turn signal filament (blue wire.) I tried using the resistor only for blinker, but the system DIC still shows an error. Other people have said that they have...

In my experience, the no-resistor LEDs have resistors built in, so they are really "no external resistor" parts, so I'm curious to see if you've found something else. Otherwise, the resistors will heat up as much as the original lamp and right where you don't want it... by that lens. I'm also...

Good luck with it! I'm looking forward to seeing it when you release it. For me, the bi-color light was a feature I really wanted and figuring it out was the real puzzle. Not a particularly difficult or complicated circuit, just took awhile to come up with the logic because I want it to work...

I’m just saying that in 2004-9, the commercially available light sources to meet the brightness requirements were incandescent and 18W. By law, when a lamp burns out, there has to be an indication of either a warning lamp or flash blink. They met that requirement by monitoring lamp current...

We should talk. I have a circuit that re-routes drl and turn signal actions to white and amber elements of an LED bulb. The resistor part isn’t stupid in an OEM situation, it’s a clever way to check for a burned out bulb. The hyperflash is actually a DOT requirement if the bulb is bad, and LEDs...

    28th Street Metro Cruise

Never been to Woodward. My brother went this year, but we had company visiting so I couldn't go. He only saw one XLR there, so he went over and talked to the owner. Turned out, it was Kip Wasenko! My brother said he was really friendly. Now I'm especially kicking myself for not going, but to be...

    Broken radio wanted

Hmm. I don’t see any reason not to. At least the mechanical parts. Probably don’t want to share the software though because it talks on the bus and I wouldn’t want to take a chance with anyone else’s safety if I have a bug in the program.

    Broken radio wanted

So, progress. I’ve designed a custom bezel and some circuits to adapt a new Sony head unit to the space while retaining the factory amp, eqs, disc changer and factory microphone. This is as far as I can go because the Sony model isn’t shipping yet so some dimensions are based on old versions...

    Broken radio wanted

I may also end up 3D printing one, but that's a lot more hassle when there are so many other bits to develop.

    Broken radio wanted

Yep, I agree. I'd seen that one, and may end up conceding, but I want to get it out here for people to be aware I'm looking if and when they decide to replace their radio. I've also seen replacement screen assemblies on Ebay, which implies that someone, somewhere has a need and is pitching out...
