From what I understand solenoids don't shift from PNRD. Manual linkage does. The solenoids are used when in drive and shifting between gears 12345 and 6.
I might have to take that idea of the pinstripping. I've gone to acouple shops asking about fixing the rock chips on the front bumper. I really want to reclear the entire car with a pearl clear coat. Maybe do some silver leafing with a engine turn effect. First guy quoted 8-10k for entire...
Looks good Fred love that pinstripe detail. Is the wreath on the hood suppose to b off center looks like it favors the driver side? Gotta love that new paint shine!
I think what they Meant about a good ground is a clean ground. Which I have my battery tender leads mounted directly to the battery +&- . Only thing I would recommend is cleaning terminals before mounting and put di-electric grease on your terminals to help with corrosion.
As for your mats...
So back to the original thread. Was curious on how touchy those adjustment bolt are? If you look at how the rubber has conformed to the same angle as the plate it sites on. I know to take the load off the screw but wondering if the rubber will be okay in a different position? Or just do one...
A authentic one has markings on the inner compartment door. I looked on CL and found one from a dealer 700 bucks, came with the candi module, everything. ALOT of dealers went under and they mysteriously disappear.
The knock offs probably will work for the couple times you'll use it. Like...
Why,why, why. If you go to ANY Parts counter what would you tell them if they asked you what chassis is it? Of course there's gonna be subtle differences.
Who cares about " four holes" that someone mentioned to you,but can't tell you what their for.
Arn't they just talking about jacking point?:(
I'm the one that recommended the pb blaster. It had everything to do with suspension lowering. He asked about the adjustable bolts on the traverse spring and I recommended using some before he attempted turning them. :blinzel:
What would the design engineers for a car have to do with tires. Now they might call a tire rep for specs on what their dealing with.
Do you think the cadillac race team uses factory tires and they look in the manual for their pressure ratings. Pretty funny I called my guy at discount tire and...
If you look at the tire it gives a max load rating and a max tire pressure. Which means that the tire will handle a max load of specified value and also the pressure. I did not say go by the max reading. I said once again start with that value and adjust from there.
What do the tire engineers...
I guess you just didn't read my response thoroughly. I said" I start with the tire recommendation printed on the tire, then adjust from there. My question is what does Cadillacs recommendation mean if you've changed their tire. Which 80% of the people on here have done. Just about every...
If you had the shocks replaced I would think,or would hope that they took a look at the rest of the suspension components while under there. Also when you had went to get a alignment they would have noticed your car would be leaning a touch. Walk around your car with a tape measure. Measure the...
I don't know but I recommend it to all my mechanics and it's worked almost every time I've ever used. Wasn't lying when I said I want to buy stock in it. Everybody I've every recommended to agrees that it's the BEST penetrant out there. I have suppliers trying to sell me their brands and when I...
Yes you can. The traverse springs front and rear have leveling bumper pads on each side. Simple screwing the bolt in or out adjusts each corner. Some on the site have had the bolt actually seize or the rubber bumper pad ripped off. I would recommend if your gonna mess with the bolts that you...
Ken if you go to my profile page I have a picture of kind of what your talking about. Except I wanted to go with a more horizontal mesh. I found the piece on ebay under mesh grille. It was ALOT larger I cut it down to fit perfect and polished it all for under twenty bucks. They sell the mesh...
