04 model NO SOUND FROM THE SOUND SYSTEM

My screen shows stations but no sound.. ditto on the cd player..
do these systems have volume knob issues?
i have zero sound of any kind coming out of the speakers.. not even a click or static..
anyone have any suggestions where to look first? trouble shoot?
a process to test or test to find out why its not working.. thanks.

for instance. i can install a cd and it will show the display with the play cursor . i can push play it will activate and the counter works so its playing but absolutely no sound.
same thing on fm stations i can tune to a channel but nothing comes out of the speakers.

Not positive, but sounds like the Bose amplifier is bad. Maybe an auto stereo installer can check it, if not the dealer should be able to help.

I’d check the fuses for the amp in the footwell under the passenger floor first.

If the fuses are good, I'd pull them to reset the head unit and the amp.

i see the bose unit. is there a reset on it somewhere?
i only see one fuse for the radio.. i checked it and reinstalled it.. no change.
when you guys with stock radio head unit .. when you touch the volume knob is there a volume display that appears?
or if you adjust volume on steering wheel is there supposed to be a volume display appear some where?
i dont see anything when i adjust either volume control.
