Unfortunately it appears the left subwoofer is blown in my '04. I've noticed less bass response and it sounds flat at certain low frequencies when turned up. I guess playing AC/DC at full blast finally caught up with me.
My experience with Bose speakers in my daily driver Maxima is that you have to replace it with the exact same model due to the ohm (which is usually 1-2). Before I place an order with an online GM parts supplier to replace the speaker, has anyone tried an aftermarket unit?
Also how difficult is it to get the door panel off? It doesn't appear I can remove the Bose grill for access to the woofer so I will have to pull the whole thing off on the weekend. I've installed car audio in various cars I owned in the past, but want to take as much precaution as possible with my new baby. I know it only requires one broken tab here or there to make the whole panel feel loose.
