I have been thinking about this for some time and now that winter is here would anyone be interested in a cruise. If we had enough people interested we may be able to get a good deal in any event right now most Cruise are good deals. Lets get some feed back from our group and a name for it maybe XLR Net Cruise. If it goes over big we could do this annually. Just a thought.;)

Actually, Mswaim and PD are on one right now ... a Mexican cruise .... I'm afraid they are right in the middle of Hurricane Rick .... :willy_nilly:

We were going to go with them, but circumstance prevented us from booking at this time. (I hope they are having a fabulous trip)

We'd like to do an Alaskan cruise some time .... maybe next summer .....

I was thinking more some place much warmer for those that still have to go through those horrific winters.

Yesterday I read an article entitled "Worst Ports."
Both of the Alaskan ports were listed. Although I know people who have sailed to Alaska and loved it. . .:dunno::dunno:

Cubby and I wouldn't be able to do one this winter. Sorry.

Alaska is, it's the ports and the crowds that go there in the summer. It's best to go when the summer crowd isn't there--a little before or after. Not too much either way, gets purty chilly up yonder!

Yes, on a cruise - timing is crucial. Like right now --- the Mexico cruise that we were supposed to be on, got turned around and his doing the California coastline instead of the Mexican Riviera .... Hurricane Rick has ruined the itenery .... Last week was perfect sailing for the same one. :squint:

YAY !! Today we are on final approach to Catalina Island....... Just how freakin lucky can a guy get? Trade the warm, tropical waters of Mexico for the foggy, cold as h@ll waters of California. We sailed under the Golden gate yesterday, but unfortunately the fog was so thick as 4 o"clock in the afternoon you could not see it. :ugh:

Today it is catalina Island (this will be my second visit = 2 too many) then off to San Diego, then just as a bonus they will drag our butts to Ensenada. YAY !!

On a bright note = I am sober enough this morning to write this. :blinzel: Princess must be watering down the booze.

In all fairness, this is our upteenth cruise, the first to see itinerary changes due to weather. In fact, this is our eight trip to the Mexican Riviera in October (my birthday month) and again, the first time we have ever hit bad weather. :rocker:
