CTS-V Wagon review

Bruce, nice post I will bet this is a big seller look at that Horsepower this car must be like a rocket. :D

"GM GET ERR DONE"

Speedway:wave::wave::wave:

If only they could figure out how to put all that HP in an AWD version...

MHO .... makes the CTS less unique. How many versions is there going to be? 'Should have left it at the CTS coupe .... that was pretty classy.

If I needed a 4 door I would take the wagon over the sedan. I think they look great. Will be interesting to see if the dealers stock them.

I like it, one heck of a nice car. Tracy wasn't too interested till I told her it would beat her TBSS. Trying to get by and drive one.

I agree with you afterall imagine 556 HORSEPOWER and the car weight is under 4400 lbs. This car is HOTTTTTTT!!!!!!:D

Speedway:cool:

I didn't like the CTS Wagon or the new SRX, seeing them at the dealer they do tend to wear on you. I think the wagon is much better looking than the SRX. I wouldn't mind having the V wagon but they are special order so are not being stocked as of yet. Would want to try one out before ordering.

I'm one of the V Wagon owners and I'm very happy with it.
556 HP, 6-sp manual, grocery getter.

This is my first post here - followed the link from the Corvette Action Center forums - I own 2 Vettes and a CTS V.

Here's a picture of my V Wagon:

You have some fun toys! I bet the V wagon makes running to the store a whole lot more fun!

It's real kick to drive and a real sleeper. No one else has a clue around my home town. My previous grocery getter was a 2004 CTS V sedan but it got to be too slow. :D

It's going to the Big Bend Open Road Race in April also. I've got to find a way to mount a fire extinguisher though.

I used a regular CTS Wagon while the XLR was having the new clutches installed. It was more than I expected for a six. I really was impressed. If they would include front parking assist, have automatic dimmers, massaging lumbar seats and a few of the other things my DTS has I would consider the V in place of my DTS but they keep telling me I can not special order to my specs so I guess I will just keep what I have. I agree with Jetboy, it is much better looking than the sedan and more useful.

Yeap, the CTS, even the V-series, does not get some of the options the DTS has. I'm okay with that.

If I was your age I would probably be ok with it also. I use my massaging seat all the time alternating between the heat and cooling. Sure helps on those long trips.

After 10 months and 8000 miles in the Vagon, I'm still happy with it. The Recaro's are very comfortable on long drives and the power and performance are wonderful. It's starting to get noticed by more folks around my home town as I get a thumbs up or a "nice car" comment now and then. Mostly, it's still a sleeper though.

Took it to the Big Bend Open Road Race back in April and finished 5th in the 110 class - missed our target time by 0.483 seconds. The Vagon took the turns at 110 like it was on rails. Highest 'g' reading was 0.71 which isn't near the limit but at 110 with granite and ditches on both sides, it's a pucker factor. It averaged 13.7 MPG at 110 - wasn't broken in yet.

Compared to our Vettes and my previous V1, the V2 wagon gets lousy gas mileage. That's probably my only complaint - 17 in town and not quite 21 on the highway. Considering what it is, I not going to complain much.

Great car.

Tuna, it's good to hear that you are enjoying your V. They are a great looking car. The Open Road Race sure sounds like fun.:rocker:

Yeah. My wife and I have been doing the BBORR off and on since '99. Mostly in the Vettes then changing to the "Vs" last year and this year.
It's nice to have cooled seats when you're in full clothes and wearing helmet and gloves. We're got to work on our timing for next year so we can get a little closer.

I went from an 08 CTS4 to a 10 CTS4 wagon. The ride and handling is much better in the wagon. And more room.

But seriously how fast does that bad boy get from 0 to 60!!! That CTS-V is incredible. Nice work. Thanks for pics.
