Driver door hangs

When I open driver door it “drops” about half-inch. I loosened the hinges at the left side of hinge connected to door and raised door with a Jack. After tightening back up the door still drops. I used a tape measure to be I was securing at a higher height. Any ideas?? Thanks. Ted

Broken/sprung hinge. I had to get mine replaced couple of years ago.

I got the hinge off eBay, took it to a local body shop and they installed it. If you've never done one, don't try to do it yourself. The geometry gets messed up and you'll never close the door properly

Hinge cost was fairly negligible.
Thinking I may have paid for an hour's work / flat rate of 100$

take it the body shop and not service .Body shop labor is around 55-60 in Nashville service is double and they do very few body jobs .Actually they will take it in and send it to the body shop and charge you the mark up. Go to a chevy store that does corvette work. About an hour labor and the part is about 120 list cost about 90 depending on where you get it. People show parts and the roller but you canto get anything that will work. Just get a hinge and be done with it.
