Headers for the 4.6 N*

I'm trying to see if any has found or installed headers for their 4.6. If so, do/did you like them? Pros? Cons? Who makes them? Any used ones for sale? Smog issues? CELs? Really anything worth mentioning.

I think the cats are built into the exhaust manifold so I doubt headers would work. it would be offroad only and so few cars to make any for.

There are none made right now.

One of the problems is the Northstar was designed to have the Cats very close to the exhaust ports, and to make headers you have to move the CAT way to the end. I'm not sure how well that would work in the long term.

Magnaflow makes replacement exhaust manifold/cats. But they don't make one that fits the 2004-2005 without modification.

If someone where to make headers again, they would have to make 2 versions.

Someone with a very fast XLR once said to just have the CATS gutted (he did) and get a flash for the ECU to turn off the rear O2 sensor, of course for off road use.. ;D
