Recommendation for headlight bulb "brand" to use . Want to stick wih OEM. Don't want any heat issues.

I am looking to upgrade the DRL's in my '06 to LED and figure while doing so, might as well replace the headlights. Just don't want to have to go through the ordeal of pulling the headlights again. What is the lifespan typically of the light bulbs? Have had my X for 2 1/2 years and do not know if they ever were replaced.
