Key Fob

I purchased an extra fob for my 2008 XLR and followed the programming instructions as written. I put the old fob in my house and then tried the new one. I was able to turn the car on, I can open the doors from the outside, I can make the emergency horn go off BUT it will not open the trunk either with the fob button or manually like I can with the doors??? Any ideas, please

Same problem I have with mine.bought 2 extra remotes off ebay for 2009 XLR and followed the programing instructions everything works but the trunk my remaining original remote works,I have search for a solution or answer and haven't found one yet.I hope someone that knows will share.

Stewart, if you do find a solution, please message me & same here for you. I gave up as that second FOB is just a backup and I can get into the car & still open the trunk from there.
