Seismologists were briefly mystified during the evening of Tuesday, January 19th, when a strange rotational motion low grade earthquake in the eastern United States appeared on their instruments, beginning about 7 pm eastern time.
One scientist stated that it was as if a 100 to 130 kilogram unbalanced object was spinning at extreme rotational speeds about a horizontal axis. The scientists were searching the internet for data from additional instruments to attempt to determine the location of this strange rotational energy.
As more data from more instruments was gathered, the mystery was solved when it was ascertained that the precise location was the gravesite of the late Senator Edward "Teddy" Kennedy.
