My XLR/V(s)
In the near future
Decided to go middle age crazy and wanted something luxurious and sexy. Thought I wanted a Corvette, and than I saw an XLR in I35 going to Austin.

Hopefully in the near future I'll find me a 2009 XLR in black/Chasmire. Already wheel tire shopping. Seriously considering Z06 chrome 10 spokes in 17" and Nitto 255/50ZR17.

So, am I crazy, or just middle age crazy?

Are you sure about the calipers? Thought I saw where 17's would fit? Essentially Corvette wheels.

ell they might work. Usually the reason for a bigger wheel on a car from the factory is a bigger rotor . I think I have some Pontiac g6 that may be 17 I know they are the same bolt pattern. I will double check I will know for sure.

If at all possible, I highly recommend the V model. I purchased my V at the ripe old age of 65. At that time, I was thinking corvette as well, but I've been there, done that in my lifetime.

Reading your bio, it appears you too are a Junior Senior Citizen at the age of 66. Go all In on the V model, you're not that far from being a true Senior Citizen in being too old to impress the ladies with a base model XLR. Just ask long Tall Sally.

Welcome To The XLR Site

I don't know about the wheel size debate? --- ;) Welcome to The XLR Site. Yet, I can relate to "Middle Age Crazy" or even "Older Person Crazy". Got to have some fun, right? :thumbsup

Well, will 17" fit or what? Still waiting on the wisdom of the group.
