Bought new rear tires for my ‘06 V. They are 275’s same as previous tires. Used to smoke them with traction system off. Now can barely get a chirp. It is if the traction system is on even when I have it switched off. I can’t believe new tires, Hankooks, did that. Any ideas?

Hey

Got new Pirelli's OEM size back in August for my '06 V . Right out of the box I christened them with some seasoned burnouts. No problem

Hey

Almost sounds like reader's remorse. Try it, you might like it. You don't get one of these to sit and watch ........Did you ?

I can smoke my Michelins (stock size). I have a hard time believing Hankooks would be stickier. Is your tire pressure 30 or above?

I turn off TC, stop, hold the brake pedal, floor it and gradually ease up on the brake and voila, black marks.
