Pontiac was between Chevrolet and Oakland

Viking was between Oakland and Oldsmobile

Marquette was between Oldsmobile and Buick

La Salle was between Buick and Cadillac

There was a '40 La Salle @ the Car show in Kokomo,IN on Saturday. It was a very rare sighting indeed.

I remember when they were brand new. Our friends in Peoria had one and would come out to Washburn to visit, my dad always said it was the poor man's Cadillac. Kinda like the Bentley was the poor man's Rolls Royce. The La Salle was a beautiful automobile and a good one too.
