Performance chips

Has anyone tried a performance chip? Seems they are all over Ebay. (see item #s 180443776823, 280435509589). I've read some of the feedback. Some say it's a $.05 resister in the box that just fools the ECM. Others claim it reprograms the unit. Any comments?

I had my ECM reflashed by the dealer with their custom code after I had the exhaust and intake done. Got way more scoot from the intake and exhasts than from the flash. I really doubt the claims in the eBay adds.

What exhaust and intake did you have installed? Was it a Cadillac dealer that performed the ECM flash or D3 etc?

It is a Lund exhaust (Chip foose design) and intake. Dealer flashed it. They do Bonneville runs for Cadillac.
