The XLR Registry now contains some vehicle identification numbers of prototype Cadillac XLRs and XLR-Vs that were probably used for testing by GM and then sold to a junkyard for parts. The VINs end with a "EX" at the end which usually means "experimental".

If you take a look at the 2006 Cadillac XLRs listed in the Registry:

Cadillac XLR Net | Cadillac XLR Registry | 2006 Cadillac XLRs and XLR-Vs

...you'll notice some of the serial numbers are highlighted in Red. That indicates that it's a prototype XLR. If you click on the related Details links, you'll see that the full VIN is visible and a notation next to it indicating that it's a prototype XLR.

The information I have on these XLRs is very limited, so you'll notice a lot of information missing such as exterior/interior colors, etc.
