I have my car back from having the transverse spring replaced. When I picked it up I was told the tires needed replaced and I needed an alignment. I asked why the tires needed replaced as they stiil had good tread and was told they had small cuts on the inside!! I asked for a price and was told $2000.00 !! I thought I had a very good dealer but I told them I would wait. When I got home and tried to look at the tires the first thing I saw was damage to the rocker panels on both sides from being jacked wrong. I went back and they have agreeded to repair rocker panel damage. Today I checked my repair manual and it states under spring replacement that both the rear trim height and alignment should be performed after the spring was replaced. I have GMPP and it covered the spring, should it also cover the alignment and height adjustment? I have not jacked the car up but I cannot see any thing wrong with the tires. The car has a very firm ride with this new spring and I think it is also a little higher in the rear.

I would think that anything related to the covered repair would/should be covered under the GMPP warranty. My dealer has always covered any incidental repairs or needed adjustments.
