.

I see seven XLR's coming up for auction soon:

LOT 394 2004 25K miles

LOT 436 2007 V 17K miles

LOT 543.1 2006 V 39K miles

LOT 549.1 2007 V 49K miles

LOT 572 2006 V 44K miles

LOT 777 2007 V 4,400 miles

LOT 826 2006 V 1,446 miles :(

Lots of 'V's' for sale :dunno:

an 06 and 07 with that low miles ought to bring a good price. Shame they did not drive them more as I doubt the same car with 10K miles would bring any more money. That's bunch of cars for one auction.

It appears Scottsdale B-J is bringing more XLR-V models to the table. Up to 6 now with a couple with very, very, low mileage. Jan of 2019 in Scottsdale, a single InfraRed 07 XLR-V with 40K miles sold for $68K, less the house 10% commission for the seller ($61,200). Of course, the house received an additional 10% from the buyer $6,800 for a total sales price of $74,800. Profit for the house $13,600, not too bad. This Jan 15th & 16th, there are 4 on Wed and 2 for Thu auction. 2-07 Black (Wed Lot 436 17K & Thu Lot 777 4.4K ) , 3-06 Silver (Wed Lot 543.1 39K, Wed Lot 572 44K, Thu Lot 826 1.4K) & 1 07 Xenon Blue (Wed Lot 549.1 49K). The outcomes will be interesting with NO RESERVE. It should be a GREAT buyers market with so many Vs for sale. I feel the InfraRed 07 XLR-V sold in 2019 is bringing the Vs to the Scottsdale B-J auction. How I love the color InfraRed.

$68K for a 07 V.... WOW! I'll sell mine for less than that!

The buyer paid $74,800 after the house commission. Of course the color was InfraRed.

The **buyer paid $74,800 after the house commission.

** Many fools with too much money,,,bidding crazy money on vehicles they know nothing about.

It's good for the economy! :thumbsup

Mecum had a number of ‘04-05 XLR’s on the block this week. A Newman Marcus, #94 with 65k miles sold for $25,300. Pretty good given the miles. Next highest was 17k, two others at $15k and one at 13k. Not all had miles listed, one of the 15k ones had 36k miles.

So there you have it.

I would have thought the V's would have bought strong dollars. I guess not because if you can buy a V for less than $20m I think that is a real deal. I am starting to think word is really getting out that parts are a problem for XLR's . If that's the case the market will really tank on these cars.

Doubt it...

My prediction for next week auction at B-J. Several Vs will go below $20K. All with No Reserve.

Barrett-Jackson is funny. I'd wager your prediction at about half what they'll go for... I find an awful lot of the people there seem to relish in the fact they 'spend', or they 'spent and won', and for little more than that moment in time. Money...to burn it seems.

Not that a V-model isn't worth say, 40K, I'd think any would be if it has acceptable mileage. Oh, and don't forget that 'the house' likes to see the prices wedged to the upper end so as to get their commission percentage on top of it all, so they tend to work the crowd at least until they feel they'll get what they deserve.

Strange world.

Here go my predictions. Remember, you're dealing with an old man that enjoys a cold toilet seat in the morning.

Only 1 Base model on Wed

Lot 394 04 Base Silver 25k mi. My est. $23,200 Actual sale price $28,600 to the Seller $23,920

Now, the V model estimates. Plus house commission for the buyer (10%) and minus seller commission (8%).

Wed
Lot 436 07 Black 17k mi: My Est $34,000 Actual sale price $46,200 to the seller $38,640
L0t 543.1 06 Silver 42K mi My Est $32,000 Actual sale price $38,500 to the seller $32,200
Lot 549.1 07 Blue 49K mi My Est $37,000 Actual sale price $44,000 to the seller $36,800
Lot 572 06 Silver 44k mi: My Est $30,000 Actual sale price $37,400 to the seller $31,280

Thu

Make that $37,800. Sold for $42,000 less the house 10% commission of $4,200. The buyer did pay $46,200 as you indicated. I got your back young timer. :)

? Fees,,

Yes,,, I thought it was 10% commission fee, both ways for buyer and seller. But today I read the seller fee is 8%.... :dunno:

B-J now has lots of competition this week with Russo & Steele also having their auction just a couple of miles away from B-J auction at WestWorld.... so maybe they made

a adjustment to fees??? :dunno:

Anyways,,,, Lot # 543 '06 XLR V 42K miles hammered at $35K

Lot # 549 '07 XLR V 49K miles [mileage exempt on title  ] just hammered at $40K

I've had it for one day, and will come back in the morning to adjust figures for the buyer's figure cost............unless the old master
wants to get his 'slide rule' out to post the buyer's cost tonight?

Time for me to get some beauty sleep. B-J getting generous in reducing the fees.

Yes Al.......get your sleep in for today's streaming.....

Lot # 543 '06 XLR V 42K miles hammered at $35K Buyer paid $38,500 Seller either took a 8 or 10% hit

Lot # 549 '07 XLR V 49K miles [mileage exempt on title ] just hammered at $40K Buyer paid $44,000 Seller either took a 8 or 10% hit off of the hammered figure

Late last evening, Lot # 572 '06 XLR V with 44K miles Hammered at $34K Buyer paid $37,400 Seller either took a 8 or 10% hit off of the hammered figure
