Been well taken care of by a local Certified Corvette mechanic as far as fluids etc. He sent me to the Cadillac Dealership get the rotors turned while on the car, replaced front pads and adjusted rear brakes at the beginning of Covid. Have not driven it 500 miles since then.

hello forums
Howdy. I've been prompted to ask YOU my questions on suspension modules, specifically the one in my 2004 XLR that does not work. Will it not swap out with a 2004 Corvette C5 suspension module, the schematics are basically identical but I'm not familiar with the programming within the modules. My other suggestion was to do a bypass and change the shocks.

That's OK Dennis....I just figured it out. I had a burnt suspension control module, it got wet and had blown a hole in the corner of the circuit board. This is on my 2004, and I refuse to be taken advantage of with a $2000 USED module of same year for the XLR. I finally figured out that the 2004 XLR is EXACTLY the same as the 2006 Corvette suspension module (right down to the wire colors).

Help spread the good word to all the other owners of the 2004 and 2005 XLR.
Have a fantastic day.
XLR Tech?
Who is the XLR Tech here in Arizona? I have a low mileage 06 that's had very little issues but its not a bad idea to know a good reputable tech for repairs. I live in Wickenburg and there is one shop that the owner works on Corvettes but know very little about XLR's. Would you please let me know who this tech is.

Thank You

Hi Rob, is "start conversation" the way to message a person (unlike a post that everyone sees)? Thanks, Anthony

Yep. It's a "private message" functionality.
i have a set of tan weathertech mats i bought back in 2010 for my 2007. Interested? Is there still a way to send messages between people on this site as there used to be?

Hello Kevin, do you still have the XLR? If so give me a call at 9282327120. Thanks

I am taking the XLR to my mechanic soon to do the brake light and rotors and pads. I would be delighted to be able to send my unit to you. Thanks for all of your valuable contributions to the forum. I'm going to do a VIN search on this forum to see what I may not know about my own car. Gary

Thanks, just let me know when you get it back and i can send payment.
Hey Kevin,

What's the deal with the XLR in Vegas? Is it really just a blown motor or is there extra damage and problems?

I'm currently overseas but will be moving back in Vegas in August and wouldn't mind checking it out, especially if the price could come down if there are other issues with the car.

My # is 360.305.8520 and WhatsApp or Text is best.

Best!

$550 for all three pieces. And you'll have to pay for shipping. I have no idea about how to ship these! UPS take it?? This is for a V. The V H-pipe has the bracket hanger in a different position than the regular XLR. Let me know what you think.

Hi Chad

OK thank you...... I spoke to my neighbor; he is my go to guy, a just retired (June) Cadillac wrench designated XLR technician. He said I really only need the last piece the end exhaust valve assemblies. Thank you for the consideration anyway.

The valves are in with the pipes. I don't think you can get them separate. (can you?)
I live in Concord, TN (suburb of Knoxville) and just purchased last Weds a 2005 XLR from a widow in Charlotte, NC with 22,000
miles and not a scratch on it. It is satin nickel with shale interior. I already own a 1993 Allante, 2nd owner with 107,000 miles.
I will probably sell the Allante now. Have not been able to turn on cooled seats.
Did you try Rock Auto. I got the steering rack from them. I have a V. They probably have both. Good luck!!
