Subject: 2004 Cadillac XLR Quarter Glass Window Separates From Attaching Bracket

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may state the rear quarter window is loose or has fell out of the attaching bracket. This concern may happen on the drivers or passengers side of the vehicle.
Recommendation/Instructions:

Do not attempt to re-bond the window to the mounting bracket. A special process is used in the plant to adhere the quarter glass to the quarter glass mounting bracket. If you experience a quarter window that is loose or that has been separated from its mounting bracket. Replace the effected quarter glass window.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
