I have not bought touch-up paint for my XLR but I have for my 2016 Corvette. The company is called Scratches Happen:

They do have you year/color in their list. Buy the whole kit. Hal
I'm surprised the heat gun is not softening the glue better. Have you tried a 1,500 watt hair dryer on high? Or "Goof Off?" I just used my heat gun to take decals off my engine area (on my 84 El Camino) and they softened with ease. And these decals had been there for many years. (I would...
I want to share with you all my experiences with this site in the short time I have been here. I bought my 09 XLR less than a year ago. I'm a "car guy" but knew little to nothing about this model. I still know little, but not nothing, thanks to you other members.
I have been able to get...
It seems this post went off in a few directions. " Paint Protection" usually refers to putting a "ceramic" coating on your paint. Not the same as the "Clear Bra" plastic shield. I personally like both but will focus on the "Ceramic."
There were lots of reference to a "good coat of wax" being...
I’m very much a “ computer nerd” and have searched extensively! I could missed some site but….
There is a switch on eBay now where they are pushing that it’s for the trunk mount. However, it’s not close to the same shape.
I’m still hoping for the source on this site to get back to me because I...
Well, I thought I sourced a replacement trunk release switch but, I did not. So I'm back to looking for a replacement. There was a post on here a bit ago by someone who sells "refurbished" switches for $75 plus an exchange. Would that person reach out to me again? Thank you in advance. Hal
At the back of the car, on the trunk lid, there is what appears to be a "trunk release" pad. A black rubber pad. I think this is supposed to release the trunk lid. This does not work on my 2009 XLR. If this is supposed to release the lid, does anyone know the part number I need to get a new...
I don't really have any issue, except for stations with low power. I'm in a very hilly area. The "weak" signals I get now are the same ones I got on my original radio in my 04 Escalade. I didn't keep the original radio in my XLR long enough to compare.
I agree it would look better with some wood trim like the original. The black dash pad, in my opinion, made it acceptable. I do like the suggestion of some sort of "wrap" over some of the black. Perhaps I'll look into who might be able to do something like that. All that said, the added...
I did not put in a backup camera. I guess I'm the opposite of you: I don't "trust" the one in my C7 Corvette (doesn't "beep",) don't have one in my old Escalade, (never had one in the 62 Corvette,) so I'm still "old school" - use my mirrors and my head!
I believe I have all the same steering controls as were standard with the car, plus the new voice commends now for Apple Car Play. I do believe my microphone is new (up at top left of the windshield) but I honestly don't know where the original mic was. I only had the car a few weeks before...
I'm considering putting a custom dash mat on my 09 XLR. 2 reasons: Protection of the dash material, and reduce glare from the dash onto the windshield. I installed a "dash cam" to my car and the glare impacts the videos.
Has anyone put a custom "dash mat" on their XLR? If so, what brand did...

Great product. Looks great and works perfectly with CarPlay. It did require replacing the center dash bezel (they all do) but the black one looks fine in the car. I did not do it myself. I had it done by the professionals. All in...
