Great question maybe if all areas of the pump are disconnected and the modular make no attempts to let your head Blow In The Wind you should be okay just in case put a towel or something down

No. The front center cylinder holds the latchs closed. You might get by but they can open andvtge roof rsise plus you are going to gave all the trunk apart, the headliner the side panels and you are talking about 6-8 hours to remove them
