Need help

New here, hoping I can find some advise.
I have a 2004 XLR and am trying to change my power steering pump. How does the collar come off to remove the pulley?
Also could someone post a picture of the correct pump? I bought one, hoping it is the correct one, however, while researching tonight I found another site that shows a differs one and says it's for a 2004. Thanks

You need a center pull puller. You can rent/ borrow one at most auto parts stores. It has two pieces that grip the center then a sleeve that goes over them. With a bolt in the center that pulls it off then pushes it back on. Where did you buy the pump? There's only one that fits all the cars that you can get. Sometimes you may have a larger pressure fitting ports. Its easy to change from the old pump. Email me at xkrparts@yahoo.com and ill show you some photos
