XLR-V Muffler Modulator

I have a 2006 V and the vacuum modulator that opens the muffler bi-pass at full throttle on the rear muffler stopped working. The dealer said I must buy the entire muffler for over $1,000. Any idea if I can buy just the modulator and/or the part number. Thanks in advance
