    Roof panel detached while driving

    I had a top replaced on my 05 Corvette for this same problem. GM had a problem with their adhesive for a while.

    The grill pops out real easy and it is plastic just held in with 3 little tabs, but find ing material to fabricate a mesh looking grill would be the problem.

    I have the round ones and it they ever bottomed out the rockers would be toast.

    The only problem I came across was that the jacking pucks I used on the C6 Corvettes I have owned (05,08,& 12) are not thick enough for the front of the XLR to place a flat lift without breaking the rocker panel, but as long as I'm careful with a floor jack they do help the clearance.     HotWheels Black XLR Model 1:18 for Xmas

    I wish I had seen this yesterday, I got one on ebay for $60 plus shipping and thought I got a good deal. They have all been over $75 on there for months now. I'm going to be in Atlanta right after Christmas.

    There are usually a few XLRs there every year, I've been there the last 10 years but always in my Corvette. I wish they would sell XLR aftermarket parts like they do for the Corvettes. I caught that picture today when I got that issue in the mail.:)

    Funny that you just got a 2004 Blue XLR in Belvidere, and I just recently got a 2005 Blue Steel XLR that came from Belvidere.
