I also pushed the button under the reset button. When I was in the car the lights went out. When I left the car the lights stayed on for a while. My car, just like the computer in my house does different things at different times, all by itself.

I had the same thing happen. I read the reply and went to try what was suggested and low and behold, the lights were out. Strange huh? I also have a 2004.
