My decision has been made.... Today I will give the shop the go ahead to pull the engine for a complete reseal.
Oil is leaking from who knows for certain from where,.............. I believe this approach is the best way to nip the oil leak(s) in the bud verses let do this that and the other...
Most likely going to list it for sale for around 10k
Heard back from second shop.... They did not sound very convincing with their diagnostic... More like open the pit to start dumping money into...
Update spoke with shop owner........... found a plausible work around with a complete engine...
Yes , I agree and understand the predicament and circumstance and I posed the question. Same here with my other Caddys XTS4 CTS4
It could be a more of a resurrection than a restoration project.... with little availability of very expensive parts.
Guess if it was my choice..... I would chosen...
XLR is in shop for a second opinion and cost to fix Oil Leak(s).
Patiently waiting on diagnostic and cost.
Will see if it is worth saving or taking out behind the barn.....
