I'm sure you have already tried, but did you put the side windows up and hold the window buttons in the up position for 10-15 seconds.

I had a similar problem and replaced the hydraulic fluid in the reservoir with the appropriate Mercedes Benz fluid. As the top is down, fill the reservoir to the top line and then cycle the top 5 times over a couple of days. You will be amazed at the degraded rubber in the old fluid and air...

Has anyone found a way of approaching the problem with inconsistent operations of the top. I replaced the trunk gas struts which helped, but sometimes the convertible will close and then sometimes it won’t. I understand the concept is similar to the Mercedes’ and Porsche hard top convertible...
