I asked my mechanic about doing this for me and his response was, “we will not jeopardize our business. This could cause your breaking system to fail and its not worth losing our business over!” That sounded like a load of crap.... i need to find a new mechanic.

Fob issue This is the cheapest and quickest fix I've experienced since owning my 2004 XLR. I decided to replace the cr2032 battery in the fob before looking into any other options and voilà the “no key fob detected” issue went away!! $2.15 wowowowow!!!

I just had the pleasure of discovering this greasy tar like substance blowing out of my air vents as well! It stains anything it gets on. Im having a new stereo put in next week so we will be cleaning that out while the dash is apart.

Is there a thread showing how to remove the tail light assembly so i can send off to have it rebuilt?
