welcome newbie,
did you find a competent mechanic?
i am also in philly area.
in the past i have used County Corvette for general maintenance.
they are in West Chester PA
they were comfortable with the xlr as its a vette underneath.
if anything got really tricky i might consider the the local...
i had same problem, warning message , fans running on high.
mine was only happening in winter.
it was not a sensor. it was the Tstat.
had them swap it out and do a coolant exchange since i was due.
no problems since.
there are other threads on here that explain it in detail and pointed to the...
so you cant get the trunk open
to get to the emergency driver door release
to pop the hood
so you can recharge the battery.
and you want to know is there another way to attach the battery charger to the positive side of the vehicle so you can get a door open ???
yes you need to add a lead for...
yes, mine creeps up quickly once its warmed up, normal temp hovers about 2/3 of the way up to the 220, but within a few minutes in traffic or at a long light, it will move closer to 220. never saw it completely up to the 220 line, but it gets close.
you could turn on the heat on high, NO AC, if...
ya, magic eraser definitely works, i did it, then went around whole interior!!
be careful on the soft vinyl parts and leather,
hard plastic is fine to scrub away.
remember the eraser is like very fine sand paper, it is removing stains, but also a little of the surface.
thx CC
local corvette shop was able to play with it and get the adaptive lens centered and leveled without removing it from the car.
also found something loose in that part of the assembly so tightened it up.
it doesnt move, but its aimed correctly now.
if i ever need to remove it to replace a...
great info, but i will mention two things about the spring pads grand daddy listed at the end of his post.
A. they are not integral to changing the shocks themselves, but might as well do them while you have everything opened up.
B. the pads he listed are lowering pads, many have used them, but...
nope, only drivers side sweeps. passenger never moves at all. also no warnings on the dash about malfunction.
i have read that "SERVICE AFS" can pop up for service the Adaptive Forward lighting System.
but never have seen it.
since these headlights cost a fortune, before i take it out and play...
hi all,
i've had this problem for a while now, havent seen another post like it so i figured i would ask.
my 07 has the adaptive headlights, drivers side moves left and right, like its supposed to. but the passenger side doesnt move.
its just stuck in one position. unfortunately its aimed too...
i take mine thru on occasion. the rubber skirt under the front bumper gets bent back by the rail that guides the wheel, but nothing else is touching.
i prefer to detail the car myself, and do that a few times a a year. but sometimes there just isnt time, so local car wash for a quickie is viable...
wow , i never noticed that! i'll have to check mine next time i drive at night.
even more wow... you got a picture of it!
did you try turning off the auto dim function ? maybe it will go away then.
glad you got the battery figured out. you might want to get a trickle charger/ battery maintainer so your new battery doesnt wear out too fast.
these cars tend to kill batteries if they arent driven every day.
